You Manage Your Business While We Manage Your Move

No Longer a simple matter of buying some boxes and hiring some muscle, relocations are becoming increasingly complex:
  • Compliance Requirements
  • Due Diligence
  • Liabilities
  • Shrinking Contingencies

With a proven track record, CRMI's specializes in facility organization and set-up. Our practices are designed specifically for relocation, to provide effective organization and cost savings, tailored to meet your needs and budget.
  • Industry Knowledge
  • Detailed Budget Definition
  • Controlled Cashflow
  • Risk Management
  • Operational Optimization
  • Turn-key Relocation

Defining the Project

As suggested in the old saying, "Measure twice, Cut Once", planning is critical. Knowing which questions to ask, we determine your business needs, both current and future, to ensure that any impact on your current operation is minimized and that your operation is optimized for the future.

Anticipating each element in the project, we can provide detailed budgets, cash flow projections, and project timing, as well as safety, environmental, and financial risk analysis.

Property Search and Due Diligence

While we'd gladly assist you at any stage of your project, typically the earlier we're involved, the sooner we can present cost savings to you. Using various tools, CRMI will work with you to identify and qualify your needs, enabling your real estate representative to perform an effective search.

Once you've found your location, we can assist in the due diligence process. Buying, leasing, or constructing, you should know the building you will assume responsibility for. Complimentary to an Environmental Site Assessment, a Property Condition Assessment identifies deficiencies and provides budget costs for correction. Knowing these, you can either have them corrected before possession or be able to properly budget for their repair. In either event, the PCA can help you avoid unbudgeted expenses in respect to your facility.

Manage the Project, Manage the Risk

On time and on budget. That's what you want.  Monitoring Critical Path and Milestone dates, we know which tasks are urgent and which are not, allowing the proper use of resources and effective cash control. In addition, understanding the scope, anticipating events, and following protocols allows for effective risk management.

Site Design and  Preparation

Take advantage of your relocation to implement positive change. CRMI works with your people to help develop the optimum arrangement for your facility, then ensures that these ideas are carried through to completion.  Whether it's a warehouse, manufacturing facility, or retail outlet, we use sustainable, cost effective Lean Enterprise techniques to bring long lasting organization to your operation.

With experience in a variety of industries, we frequently  provide our clients both cost saving suggestions and guidance in how to arrange changes for maximum future flexibility.

Equipment Installation and Commissioning

Working with your people, risk assessments, moving schedules, contingency plans, and where necessary, safety stocks are planned to minimize any effect on your operation or obligation.  Once moved, the equipment and supporting infrastructure is installed to your specifications and commissioned.  Where compliance documentation, such as PSR's and CofA's are needed, CRMI provides services to meet these requirements.

Documentation /SOP Support

Once the move is complete, CRMI provides complete reference documentation needed to settle you in your new home, including:

  • "As-built" drawings and schematics
  • Fire Safety Plans
  • Evacuation Plans
  • Security Plans
  • Faciliy Equiipment Lists
  • Contact Lists (for future reference)

This is supplied conveniently in a reference book and in digital format.  CRMI can also provide assistance  in updating SOPs such as WHMIS and ISO.
